We first visited Caroline and David back in 2008 and since then our initial impressions have been confirmed by dozens of happy families who have enjoyed the peace and simplicity of time spent with their families here. It is a tranquil location set amongst rolling fields and lush countryside - real rural France. The owners will unobtrusively look after your every need whilst your children run around safely in the gardens - this is a lovely place to come and relax with your family.
This two bedroomed gite is perfect for a family with a toddler, as both the two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and open plan living room are all on one level. The kitchen comes with all the mod cons- dishwasher, microwave and washing machine and there is also a TV, DVD and Satellite TV reception including BBC.
The bedrooms - one double and one twin - are bright and airy and provide everything that you would need for your holiday. There is also a sofa bed in the living room which acts as an overspill. Cots can be added where necessary.
Note: Please note that as this is a cluster of properties, then not all this equipment is made available in every gite and you may have to request certain items from the Owners. You can also make requests at the time of booking.
The shared outdoor garden area is a great enclosed space for the children to hare around in. Garden toys enhance the children`s enjoyment. The pool is enclosed for safety and has a stepped entrance which is ideal for toddlers who are just getting to grips with the water. The shared BBQ area is also a great asset and offers the chance to socialise with other families.
Only 1 mile away (about 20 minutes walk) from the charming village of Labastide d`Anjou (complete with a bakery, butcher, pharmacy, two hotel/restaurants, a doctor and a dentist), the Les Gites d`Anjou are perfectly placed to explore this fascinating corner of south west France. The nearest supermarket is 7 minutes in the car at Castelnaudary. With Toulouse and the medieval city of Carcassonne only 45 minutes away and the Mediterranean coast and Pyrenees mountains within an hour`s drive, there is plenty to keep every member of the family happy.
