Creepy Halloween Moon Spooky Crafts  by Activity Village

This shimmery design makes for a great Halloween decoration!

You will need:

  • Black paper
  • Silver card
  • Glue
  • Glitter (optional)
  1. Using a large plate as a template, cut out a circle of silver card- this is your ‘moon’. You could also use a white paper plate.
  2. Decorate your moon however your little one would like, glitter and sequins work well.
  3.  Print out some bat templates. Click here to choose one.
  4. Using the black paper and the templates, cut out the bats. You may need to do this if your children are very young.
  5. Stick the bats on to the moon, so it looks like they are flying across it!

Ghost Necklace Spooky Crafts by Martha Stewart Kids

This ghostly necklace would make the perfect addition to a Halloween costume!

You will need:

  • PVA glue
  • Parchment paper
  • A pen
  • Hole punch
  • String
  1. Draw outlines of ghosts on to a piece of parchment paper, using the PVA glue
  2. Let this set for a few seconds
  3. Fill in the outline with more PVA glue
  4. Leave this to dry for two days and then peel off the parchment paper
  5. Draw faces on to the ghosts using a felt tip
  6. Use a hole punch to make little holes at the top of the ghosts and weave a string through to make a necklace. You could even make ghost bunting if you wanted to!

Pumpkin Halloween Basket Spooky Crafts by Activity Village

Perfect for trick or treating, this inexpensive craft can be customised however you’d like!

You will need:

  • A paper cup
  • Orange paint
  • Black card
  • A black felt tip
  • A stapler
  1. Paint the paper cup with the orange paint and leave it to dry
  2. Cut out a black strip of card to make a handle and staple it to the sides of the cup
  3. Draw on a scary pumpkin face, then go and collect some sweets!
  4. You could decorate some more cups with whatever spooky designs you’d like

Creepy Bush Eyes Spooky Crafts by Kitchen Fun with My Three Sons

Scare your neighbours with these creepy hedge eyes!

You will need:

  • Two white plastic bowls
  • Coloured card
  • Black paint
  • Red Paint
  • Glue
  1. Flip the bowls over so that they are face down. Cut two smaller circles out of the coloured card and stick these to the bottom of the bowls.
  2.  Paint a smaller black circle in the middle of each circle to make the pupil of the eyes
  3. Use the red paint to make creepy eye veins
  4. Place the plastic bowls next to each other on the hedge! You may want to make some small holes in the sides and feed some string through, so you can tie them to the bush so that they stay in place

Handprint Spider Spooky Crafts by Activity Village

These scary spiders are super simple to make!

You will need:

  • Black paper
  • Googly eyes
  • Black wool
  • Glue
  1. Ask your child to spread their fingers on the black paper, keeping their thumbs tight to their index fingers, then draw around the outline of their four fingers
  2. Cut out the two hands and glue them together with the fingers pointing out, to look like a spider body
  3. Glue on the googly eyes and cut a small hole in the centre of the body
  4. Thread the wool through the hole and tie it into a knot
  5. Hang your spider wherever you’d like- doorways are ideal!
