Costa del Sol, Spain
Price from £785 - £1,122 per week
Sleeps up to 4 in total plus 2 infants in cots in 2 bedrooms
We’re not exaggerating… our families LOVE it here! Super private; it's the perfect place to escape to and press the pause button. From the beautiful bougainvillea-clad building to all the little ‘done-for-you’ details, which mean you don’t have to do any of the boring bits if you don’t want to.
And for your energy-filled little tots? There is a play patio where they’ll have non-stop fun building in the sandpit, swooping down the slide and choosing which toys to play with (and it’s covered by a shady roof so you don’t need to fret about them being in the sun).
When splash time comes, tinier tots can get water-confident in the inflatable paddling pool, and older kids will love splashing in the safely enclosed pool…meaning that you might even squeeze in some poolside relaxation.
And, it’s just not far in the car (around 30 minutes) to Costa del Sol beaches, so you can pop over for sand, sunshine and ice cream before returning back to a home-cooked dinner, lovingly prepared for you by the hosts with yummy home-grown veggies.

Richert Family, September 2019
We had a fabulous holiday with our 2-year old. Lovely accommodation and surroundings and lots of places to visit within an hours drive. I would definitely recommend this place and hopefully be staying there again in the future. The place is a gem!
Tozer Family, August 2019
Beautiful property in a stunning location, the hosts were amazing and the kids and parents had a fantastic holiday.
Hynes Family, August 2019
Dove Villa is an exceptional villa hosted by an equally amazing couple. The property is the cleanest we have ever stayed in and gave us everything we needed, fantastic location, safe and secure play area with a separating fence and gate to the pool. The host's home cooked meals are an absolute must. Their knowledge of the area is superb which helped us choose a last day activity to keep the kids amused for a few hours whilst waiting for our flight. All in all, the best family holiday we have had. 10 star place and people.
Binding Family, May 2019
Our holiday at Dove Villa was brilliant. We have a 3 year old and he absolutely loved it - everything was set up perfectly for him there, with loads of toys, it was super safe and we were able to sit back and relax while he played. Susan was an amazing host and cooked the most delicious food for us. The location was also great and the nearby village had everything we needed. We definitely recommend coming here!
Glass Family, May 2019
We loved our holiday at Dove Villa and will definitely be planning our return. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and informative. They were always on hand if we needed to ask any questions (before and during the holiday) and we felt very well looked after. We sampled the home cooked menu on our first night (this was much needed after a long day of travelling) and we highly recommend it. The Villa itself was very well equipped for our family (mum, dad and 3 year old). Even on a couple of rainy days we had plenty of books, toys, games and DVDs to keep us entertained. The courtyard was beautiful and our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor toys. We even braved the pool (on a mid April holiday!) It definitely hadn't had the chance to warm up in the sun yet so wet suits for younger ones is a must at this time of year! We really enjoyed the remote location of the Villa as we were seeking some peace and quiet on this holiday. The scenery of the area is absolutely breathtaking. We also enjoyed a couple of trips out; twice to Malaga (to the Biopark - a conservation zoo in the city centre, and to wander around the old town) and to Torremolinos for a day at the beach. Dove Villa gave us the opportunity to recharge and reconnect as a family and we hope to return for another holiday again soon.
Wright Family, October 2018
We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Dove Villa on our first family holiday with our 16 month old twins. The villa was just the right size with plenty of space for the children to play. It is very homely and well equipped too. Location was good for us - peaceful and out of the way which is what we like. Everything was well maintained and you have total privacy. The icing on the cake, however, was our hosts who went out of their way to make us feel very welcome. In particular their delicious repertoire of home cooked meals made each day. We went through the entire menu and this made the holiday for us as frankly exhausted parents. Would highly recommend for a friendly, relaxing and restful break.
Smith Family, August 2018
We all had a fantastic week. Villa was clean, peaceful and well organised with everything at hand in a beautiful location. Lovely hospitality from the villa hosts. We felt expected and looked after.
Robinson Family, August 2018
This was officially our favourite family holiday yet! We felt like we spent two weeks in our own little bubble which was exactly what we were looking for. We had lots of lovely mornings out exploring the amazing scenery around the villa and visiting various beaches and then lazy afternoons by the pool and playing Yahtzee! On top of this, the meals ordered from the host were delicious! Would definitely recommend Dove Villa to anyone wanting a family break.
Mason Family, July 2018
It's hard to imagine a more perfect holiday than a week at Dove Villa. Busy mornings exploring picturesque towns and beautiful countryside followed by lazy afternoons in the pool. We enjoyed day trips to Antequera, Malaga and Playa de el Palo as well as rambles at El Torcal and the Wolf Park. That said, our two-year old would have happily spent all of her time playing with the toys in the courtyard garden. The slide, skittles and teddies were definitely a hit! The villa host was wonderful. From booking through to the day we arrived, she was in regular communication. From delicious home-cooked suppers to an abundant welcome pack of goodies, she made sure that our every need was met. We would love to return to Dove Villa and would highly recommend it.
Bunn Family, June 2018
We had a great time at Dove Villa. The property is very much out the way from everything and if that is what you are looking for then its ideal. A car is a must if you would like to leave the villa but as we were quite content to stay put everything was just right. Cannot fault the hosts who were on hand to help us with anything we needed during the week.
The Schofield Family, August 2017
We had a truly fantastic stay at Dove Villa with our 2 kids aged 2 and 5. We managed to time our visit to coincide with a heat wave but the villa remained comfortable and the kids had plenty to keep them occupied indoors when the heat got too much. I cannot fault anything about the villa itself. Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and with all the home comforts we needed. The pool and outside areas were also fantastic. Beautiful scenery (and we actually really liked the viaduct in the background). We really enjoyed the remote location and felt that we were truly away from it all. We also enjoyed some great day trips to the coast, mountains and a wolf park. All in all, a lovely property with the friendliest hosts we have come across. Would love to return again while our kids are still young.
The Lambert Family, October 2016
Dove Villa was amazing, everything a family with tots could ask for was at hand. The pool was fantastic with the added bonus of being gated for our child's safety. Susan & Harold are lovely welcoming hosts & Susan's food is delicious. We will definitely be going back & have already recommended the villa to lots of our friends & family with young children.
The Banfill Family, October 2016
Beautiful, peaceful villa with lots of toys for the children to play with. The welcome pack was so big we didn't need to do much shopping. Susan's home cooking was delicious too.
The Bamforth Family, September 2016
We had such an amazing week at Dove Villa - we were so well looked after, and there was everything we needed plus more. I was a little nervous about travelling with 1 year old twins, but it was made so easy for us and the babies were so happy as soon as we got there. A completely stress-free holiday, relaxing by the pool with a few trips out to local markets, hiking at El Torcal, and a visit to the Alhambra. Hoping to return one day!
The George Family, June 2016
We had a lovely 10 day break at Dove Villa. We have a 3 year old and 9 month old and the villa had everything we needed and more than we expected. We spent many afternoons relaxing by the pool and using the lovely and clean outdoor areas. The owners, Susan and Harold are brilliant and so helpful from the moment we booked until we departed. The welcome pack was amazing and just what you need after travelling with two young children. The villa is well equipped with all you need for a baby and young child, from kitchen equipment, books, toys and even pool inflatables! The bedrooms are a great size and having two bathrooms was a godsend. The villa is located in a more remote area so you do need a car, but the bonus is that is really peaceful and perfect for a relaxing break. We would definitely book again and recommend to our friends.
The Smith Family, June 2016
We had an amazing holiday at Dove Villa. It was so well equipped for our 2 toddlers and the villa was immaculately clean (when we arrived!). The outside space was excellent and the welcome hamper was really helpful. Harold and Susan went above and beyond, we arrived in the early hours of the morning and Harold met us in the local village so that we wouldn't get lost trying to find the villa in the dark. Susan made sure that we had everything we needed from getting us nappies, wipes and milk in time for our arrival to cooking us some incredible meals. We had a great experience and felt very well looked after, thank you Harold and Susan.
The Cross Family, April 2016
What a lovely part of the world this delightful villa is in - and how wonderfully welcoming and helpful Susan & Harold were. From pre-arrival information to last day tips, great hospitality and the great welcome basket of goodies we could not have asked for more. Our 4 year old daughter made good use of the toys and even braved the swimming pool (with a wetsuit - as was end March/early April).
The Smith Family, 2015
Perfect - we loved the property and the kindness of the hosts who looked after us. Felt totally relaxed even with a 18 month old!
The Mitchell Family, 2015
Very nice friendly couple could not do enough for me and my family. Wish there was more like them.
The Clay Family, 2015
Our family has voted our stay at Dove Villa the best holiday yet. Our hosts were so friendly and happy to answer questions/give tips about the local area. Susan's simple suppers were wonderful to come home to after a busy day out. The villa is in a really good position to explore the local area and the pool is a perfect size for young children to learn how to swim. Our boys both came home as swimmers!
The Turner Family, August 2015
Susan was a fantastic host. From the start the place was easy to find, on arrival she told us everything we needed to know. Incredible welcome basket of goodies - no need to go to the shop for at least a couple of days. Pool was spotless and inviting as well as the large outdoor area with shaded eating area. Just gorgeous. Accommodation was everything we could ask for (3 year old and 9 month old) with lots of pool toys, bath toys, indoor and outdoor toys. A real bonus for us was the full size cot as opposed to the usual travel cot you get on holidays. The villa had everything you would need for young children. The home cooked meals were such a treat. We asked Susan to cook for us 7 out of 9 nights and they were always delicious with leftovers for the kids the next day. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa to others and hope we will be back on day soon.
The Fisher Family, August 2015
You couldn't ask for better hosts. Harold and Susan are perhaps the kindest, most welcoming, hospitable people you could meet. It's also clear how much they care about the villa. All the small touches from the welcome basket to the toys for the children don't go unnoticed. It's a gem of a spot run by lovely people.
The Whittle Family, July 2015
Great place and stay. Excellent hosts, great location - remote but close to the costa del sol!
The Smith Family, June 2015
Perfect - we loved the property and the kindness of the hosts who looked after us. Loved the cooked meals and felt totally relaxed - pretty hard when you've got a 18 month old but impossible not to relax in the lovely settings.

What was once an artist’s studio has been lovingly converted into a comfy home-from-home for families – and it’s all laid out on one level, perfect for new crawlers and curious toddlers.
Inside it is compact but has the most wonderful homely feel. You’ll find a living room and kitchen, which lead through to the two bedrooms (a twin and a huge double), both with their own en suites. Our favourite bit is the comfy sitting corner in the master bedroom, where you can nurse your baby or curl up with a bedtime story, but we know the little ones will love the rocking horse and cuddly toys more.
And if you’re worried about comfy sleep in the heat – there are insect screens and blackout blinds on the windows, air conditioning and ceiling fans…you might even get to sleep past dawn.
The outdoor space is safely enclosed in a courtyard with high walls and a lockable safety gate to the pool area. It is all on one level so the children are free to go between the patio and the house quite safely.
Part of the patio is covered to provide a shaded dining area, and there is a gas barbeque just crying out for a steak or two! If you fancy having someone else do the cooking one night, then why not browse the villa menu and order a delicious home-cooked meal.
There is an additional rear patio, which is partly covered, where you'll find a small play area for the little ones, with a sandpit, toys and a slide to keep them happily entertained.
This child-friendly villa is nestled within the wonderful Spanish countryside. With the buzz of cicadas, cry of bee-catchers and the sky full of swallows, you may even see the farmer Juan with his tractor and goat herd.
To help you find your way around the area, the brilliant owners here have left an information pack in the villa with a guide to nearby villages, towns, restaurants and shopping centres.
Of course, the best day trip out here is to the beach – just 30 minutes in the car and it’s hello, Costa del Sol!
If you’re having a day trip out, the last thing you want to do when you get home is cook, so why not ask Susan to whip up one of her ‘Simple Suppers’ (she uses fresh veg from her garden). She’ll even get together a separate meal for the kids if you have picky little eaters.
Another day trip favourite is the largest Aquapark in the Costa del Sol, just 35 minutes’ drive from the villa – with a choice of shallow pools and slides, which they’ll love.
Just a little further along the coast, you’ll find the award-winning Puerto Marina, with its host of trendy bars and restaurants and the Sea Life Centre, which has a fun touch-tank for your tots.
If you want to catch some cracking views while you’re here, head to El Tocal National Park (30 minutes’ drive), where you can drive up to 1,100m above sea level atop limestone cliffs: you can see out across the whole park and even to the African coastline. And there’s a visitor centre with buttons and interactive displays for your youngsters to play with.
Before booking, please read our Terms and Conditions.
Sleeps a maximum of 4 people and 2 infants in cots (both cots must be in the master bedroom)
