Villa Pollensa

Indoors

This bright and airy villa is a traditional Mallorcan design with high wooden beamed ceilings throughout.  Furnished in a simple, uncluttered style, Villa Pollensa is perfect for families with young children.  

This lovely family space also has access to the extensive L-shaped outside covered terrace, with a gate to prevent small people accessing the swimming pool.  The dining area offers ample space for everyone to eat together - although the Mallorcan sunshine may tempt you outdoors to dine al fresco.

The traditional-style kitchen is fully equipped with an oven/hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and other small appliances. A table with a bench and chairs is also provided for casual dining.  Off the kitchen is a shower room and a utility room with pantry.

From the large main hallway, there are several stairs up to two bedrooms, one master double with a private balcony and a twin - both with fabulous countryside views - and a modern bathroom with a shower over the bath.

More stairs lead to a landing (boasting lovely views over a golf course to the monastery at the top of the Puig de Maria, the small hill that overlooks Pollensa) two further twin bedrooms and a second bathroom with shower over the bath.  The upstairs landing also has stairs leading to the roof terrace which you should not need to access as it houses the main satellite dish for the house.

All the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the air conditioning and central heating in each makes this villa suitable for holidays at any time of the year.  Every bedroom also has space for a cot.

• Although the main stairs have child safety gates at the top and bottom, there are a number of other steps in the downstairs hallway that cannot be protected
• There is also a small set of steps from the top landing leading up to a lockable door and it is advisable not to let children onto the roof terrace.

Outdoors

Villa Pollensa’s very private mature, lawned garden offers plenty of space for grown-ups and children alike.

The large covered veranda, with terrace furniture, is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the wonderful views in the shade and is separated from the garden and swimming pool by a secure gate making it entirely enclosed. It is quite large enough for young children to play happily (and run around!) in the shade without having to worry about the pool or the strength of the sun.

From the enclosed terrace, ten steps lead down to the garden with its fabulous 10m x 5m (approx) swimming pool, ideal for serious swimmers and little ones who just want to splash around. Grown-ups not taking the plunge can keep an eye on the children from the comfort of the poolside sun loungers. Wide steps lead into the shallow end of the pool which is 1.1m deep.

The outdoor kitchen is a wonderful facility- with a barbeque, sink and useful food preparation area – and is a great spot to rustle up an al fresco meal.

• Many of the garden's indigenous plants can be spiky, so do point this out to little ones
• There are ten steps from the gated veranda to the garden and pool area and a single step from both the kitchen and living area to the secure terrace
• The garden is very large but not fully enclosed on one side (to open fields) so supervision will be required for young children in this area
