Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Booking your holiday

Start by asking yourself what your family wants and needs from a getaway. Do you want the space and privacy of a villa? Or would a resort holiday, with facilities and new friends to hand, suit you better? The great advantage of booking through Tots to Travel is that you know all the family friendly basics are already covered, from safety checks to family friendly features. If you’re struggling to find something that’s right for you, get some advice from our Family Travel Experts.

As accommodation specialists, most of our properties do not include flights so you will need to book flights separately. You can view our small collection of ‘flights included’ packages here and if you require any further advice, our Family Travel Experts are happy to help.

Unfortunately, we are not able to hold a property for you without credit card authorisation. We will not hold any property until you have confirmed that you wish to proceed with the booking. Once we have received your deposit, we will then respond to confirm that your booking has been successful.

If you find the accommodation (and any associated extras) available elsewhere for a lower price, we promise to price match the lower price. You can find more information in our Terms and Conditions.

Simply contact us via phone, email or put an enquiry through our website. We will double check availability and confirm whether your chosen accommodation has availability for your ideal dates. Please do not book flights until this has been confirmed.

Once you have paid your deposit, the property is secured for your chosen dates. Most accommodation requires a 30-50% deposit, but the amount does vary between properties, so please do ask if you require more information.

We take secure payments online and over the phone, and accept Visa, Mastercard and debit cards. No charges apply to credit/debit card payments. Once a payment is made, your holiday is secured. In the unlikely event that Tots to Travel should cease trading, your payment will have been passed to the host and your booking will still go ahead.

If you need to cancel your holiday, please contact our Family Travel Experts as soon as possible. They will advise you further. We also recommend that you take out holiday insurance as soon as you have booked.

If you need to cancel your holiday because you have fallen ill, please inform us in writing as soon as possible, as we may be able to provide documentation to assist with any travel insurance claims.

Your deposit is due at the time of booking and varies depending on which property you have selected. Most accommodation requires a 30-50% deposit. Your booking is not confirmed until we have received your deposit – we will let you know when payment is due, so please don’t worry about forgetting. The remaining balance is due 10 weeks prior to departure. If you are booking with less than 10 weeks to go, the whole balance is due at the time of booking.

For properties that do not include flights, this is not relevant to Tots to Travel. Your holiday contract will be with your host and with your chosen transport provider. You can find more information in our Terms and Conditions.

For our collection of properties that do include flights, your booking for this property including all associated payment/travel arrangements is managed by our ABTA and ATOL bonded partners, Simpson Travel. For more information, please view Simpson Travel’s Terms and Conditions.

Please contact our Family Travel Experts and they can assist you.

Yes – we would always recommend buying holiday insurance with full coverage, to ensure that you are fully protected, should an unforeseen incident occur. You can learn more on our blog here.

If you’re struggling to choose what resort accommodation might be best for your family, our Family Travel Experts are happy to help. Alternatively, you can get more guidance about choosing the right kind of resort accommodation for your family via our resort room guide here.

Unless stated otherwise, transfers are not included in the price of your holiday. You cannot book transfers through Tots to Travel, but you may be able to organise these through the resort or accommodation host that you are staying with. Once you have paid your final balance you will receive an online travel pack, which will contain all of the resort/host contact details you will need.

Yes, even newborn babies need their own passports! Read our Baby Passport Blog for more information.

You should always get your doctor’s advice before you travel, but in most instances you should be able to travel whilst pregnant. Some airline companies do impose certain restrictions however, so double check before you book flights. You can find more tips on travelling whilst pregnant here.

Flight delays are really annoying, but in some cases they are simply unavoidable. If your flight is delayed, please let us know if you would like us to contact your accommodation. You can find out more about coping with flight delays here.

The majority of our bookings do not include flights and therefore if the airline you book through ceases to trade your travel home would not be covered by your booking with Tots to Travel and you would have to make alternative flight arrangements unless your flights are covered by an ATOL licence.

For our collection of properties that do include flights, your booking for this property including all associated payment/travel arrangements is managed by our ABTA and ATOL bonded partners, Simpson Travel. For more information, please view Simpson Travel’s Terms and Conditions.

You will need to confirm this with your transfer company directly. If your holiday package includes a transfer, our Family Travel Experts can provide you with more information.
